About
In 1987 Epyx, Inc. released Destroyer, a very interesting Simulation game. Play it online by clicking here.
Destroyer description
One of the first simulation of the warship during the Second world war, characterized by a very simple operation.
The game takes place in real time, we are required to perform a variety of missions (escort convoys, hunting for submarines and so on). Only seven missions, the devices available for control, ten. It is clear that in the case of battles with submarines is required if you want to search with sonar for combat aircraft to deploy anti-aircraft guns, if the ship the hole is to order the men to fix it.
Sorry, nothing more to say – and not because the game has no interesting features, but because it is, so to speak, the first version of the game Advanced Destroyer Simulator, and all that is characteristic for that game, there are here, but it's only got bigger and better – and the graphics (the graphics are largely arbitrary), and on the dynamics; the only difference is that there are no bases, and repairing the ship will have their own.
So now Destroyer is a primarily historical interest, but the attention of fans of the genre deserves.
