Retro Preservation Guide

A sample long-form text page used to review the new editorial layout.

Retro games deserve more than nostalgia. They deserve context, preservation, and a place where people can still experience how they felt to play.

This sample page is here to validate the new text-page layout. It uses the same broad hero, centered article column, and long-form reading rhythm shown in the design.

Why preservation matters

Many classics now exist across scattered archives, incomplete fan projects, broken links, and hardware that grows harder to maintain every year. A modern retro library should make discovery simple while respecting the original work.

What a good archive should provide

Clear metadata, clean screenshots, consistent emulator setup, and editorial context all matter. A preserved game should be easy to find, easy to understand, and easy to launch.

A preserved game is not only a file you can still open. It is a piece of history you can still understand.

For now this page is intentionally content-heavy so the typography, spacing, and reading experience can be reviewed properly. Later it can be replaced by a fully managed editorial page from the CMS.
