One of the first quests of the sub-genre "interactive investigation", popular in the first half of 1990-ies of the TV series "Law Los Angeles", aired on including in the CIS.
You can play for one of the three lawyers (the primary source of the former secondary characters), seeking to become full partners of the famous Bureau, and ideally to lead it. The passage is divided into several cases, and in case of failure in two of them the career of the hapless defender ends (that is, a loss); the first process will be the case of a car accident, which killed one of the drivers, and you need to prove the innocence of the survivors.
The idea is to study the case materials, telephone calls to witnesses to obtain testimony and other lawyers (phone here - perhaps the key element of the action), in some cases, the search for evidence. Each case is limited to nine hours of playing time (though the player can complete the "preliminary" part before, if deems it necessary) and after this period will have with his client to appear before the judge where your task will be to prove the innocence of the client on the basis of the collected materials and information (and in a fairly realistic manner - it is possible to ask questions to the witnesses, to protest to the judge, asking to adjourn the meeting, and so on). The graph is a static scanned photos (people and facilities) is very low (even for the time) resolution. This fact can hardly be attributed to the pluses - a certain atmosphere this approach creates, but the picture quality is sometimes so bad that background details don't really consider. Really interesting what is happening is difficult to call, but from a historical point of view, including as a "forerunner" for the more interesting things of this kind, the importance of LA Law is undeniable.
