Osiris description

Amazing rarity and beauty and thus a rather complicated puzzle on the topic of ancient Egypt, a kind of computer version of a certain Board game, it's probably really existed in Ancient Egypt (but with seneta it has nothing to do).

Players in this game, three of them, one necessarily a person, the other two can be either people (the game will be played on one computer) and computer players. Only ninety-nine, to access each subsequent need to pass the previous, then the subsequent will be issued a password (the next time this password is already possible to enter in the main menu to start playing this level). The essence of the gameplay is not entirely trivial, and there is no manual or at least some brief reference to the game, so at this time is to dwell.

The playing field consists of cells-triangles, which, although are of two types (top up and top down), but nothing from each other do not differ. Some of the cells of the field at the start of the game the busy triangles in four colours – green, blue, purple and orange. The first three are kind of triangles-"chips", which is run by the players (if not to change anything in the settings, the human player will always default to playing green), and orange is blocks which, if you will, "prevent" gameplay. In the center of the playing field is a glowing yellow triangle with an apex down – "sign of Osiris". The initial number of triangles of each player are the same, but it may be different (all players) depending on the level.

If you point the cursor to any of "their" triangles, you can see the number. This number represents the initial number of "points" of the triangle (in many it is different). "Points," these are spent to move the triangles to the free cells: for example, moving to neighboring takes only one "hit", whereas the move to more (even if these cells are not very far away) can take much more. When you move reduced not only the number of "points" each triangle, but the total amount available to the player "points", which you can see in the right part of the screen (it shows the number for each of the players). The initial value of all players equal a hundred units.

The moves the players carry out in sequence – first one, then another, then a third, then in the same order. The essence of gameplay is to move one of their triangles on the "sign of Osiris" and to ensure that he "existed" there for three queues of moves. The fact is that in this game, the triangles can be destroyed, and it can happen for two reasons. The first reason: when a particular triangle end points, in this case, it turns into the orange block. The second reason is the destruction of the triangle, the triangle of the opponent. This requires that at least two triangles of the same color coincided the sides with a triangle of another color, in this case it is broken, and the player to whom it belonged to, taken away a certain number of "points". However – and this is very important – if a triangle of the same color matched sides with two triangles one in another color as a result of its progress, it is not broken, in this case, for its destruction will have to do so with its third-party coincided with another triangle of the same color. Same here – by the way – it is worth mentioning that there is a way to destroy the orange blocks that prevent the free movement of triangles: it is necessary that all sides of the unit coincided with the same color triangles.

As soon as a player is a "sign of Osiris" in the center of the playing field his triangle, he loses the opportunity to go to a maximum of three moves – all this time moves only do his rivals. If each of them made three moves, and the triangle in the "sign" was not destroyed, it disappears, but turns into a extra "points" for the player, which are distributed between the remaining "triangles," and in its "window" on the right side of the screen there is a color pyramid.

You can pass the level only by defeating both competitors. This requires that on the field there is not one triangle, but in this case, your number of "points" would be higher than the other. If you manage somehow to destroy (break or make contact blocks) all the triangles of the enemy, and your triangles are in the field still remain, the control for a few seconds, transmitted to the computer, which automatically puts the remaining triangles in the "sign", then they are immediately converted into points. On the other hand, if you lost all your triangles and rivals and yet, to complete the party will have to stand by and watch their game.

Generally speaking, Osiris refers to those games, to describe that very difficult. Perhaps someone description above seemed quite detailed, but actually it is not so, for it touches only the basics of the game, but not her. The game itself is in Osiris is constant and intense Duma on all sorts of combinations, almost like in chess. The loss of their triangles from contact with the enemy is undesirable, but the enemies with their moves (and not only when you want to knock out another triangle from the center of the field) are constantly striving to destroy the alien figures, so that before each move, especially from the middle of the party, you have a very good think. Fortunately, the AI of the opponents is very high, and by the time the game does not limited, so you can think over each move as they want.

As already mentioned, the levels in the game many – as many as ninety-nine, and if the differences in General appearance between them is not very large, then here is the field size, the initial number of triangles of each player and the complexity of the gameplay is just a huge: even on the third level of play is already quite hard.

About the graphics in the puzzle seems to be, following the tradition, could not speak, but still she is here – one of the key components of the atmosphere. The field itself is clearly drawn, but not particularly surprising. Other good news for the field on either side of him are sitting your opponents – the two are not the small animated image of ancient Egyptian men, and the animation is present in many of their movements: in each course, while waiting for your turn, with reflections on its... For example, they move the cheekbones, I look around, click your fingers on the knees, and when one of them manages to destroy the strange triangle they laugh, and it is not only seen, but heard, and the laughter, each of them is different... And the game has music but not just music, but directly a small library of different sounds in the ancient Egyptian style, one from which you can choose before starting the game. And the design field can generally be changed at any time. Finally, it should be noted that in case of loss you will see (before you offer to replay) a small text in which it is extremely entertaining, you will learn about your mental capacity...

What to say in conclusion? In my opinion – it's just amazing puzzle: challenging, really makes pretty poraskinut brains, but not unnerving, as it has no time limit, beautiful not only internally, but also externally, atmospheric, inviting to yourself and even sense of humor. Animated images rivals are the game for good, and looking at their smirking, the worried faces, watching the details of the interior of the room (and in it there are plants and a small pool with water...), where the action is, at the moment it may seem that you really were in Ancient Egypt and is played during the changing with the guards of the Pharaoh, to kill time... Magical, indescribable feelings – and absolutely magic game which gets its deserved top score and most stringent recommendations to all lovers of truly rare and truly wonderful and beautiful intelligent computer entertainment.
