Fully text adventure is the first computer game based on the cult TV series "Star trek" (eng. Star Trek) of the first series of which was published in 1966. From trying at least once to describe here what was ultimately the whole universe, in scale and thoroughness not inferior to Star wars, it was eventually decided to abandon - if you don't know what "the enterprise" or someone like the Borg or the Klingons, Romulans or Vulcans, kirk and Spock, Uhura and captain Picard, then this game is unlikely you'll like it. If you know something, too, may not like the look, but then look at her though because of what is written in the first sentence.
So, you have to lead the legendary research vessel "enterprise". And you are, say, kirk, but it is just the Captain. During scientific work in space, the ship on Board of which, except you are the legendary Vulcan half-breed Spock, a specialist in RAS Dimas, witty humorist Dr. McCoy, engineer Scott, and others, is attacked by another ship - which will have to fight (which, of course, is implemented not in the form of any action'a). During the battle, toxic substances contaminate all available on the Enterprise of food, due to which characters have to make an emergency landing on hostile planet Prometheus 4. Repair of engines, according to Scott, will take a few days, and in order not to starve to death, the members of the team go on a dangerous journey through the world of the planet in search of food...
The whole game - black letters on a gray screen is divided into two parts: the upper (larger) displays a description of the current location - a very detailed and thorough, below - the line to enter commands with the keyboard separated from the story text with a red underline. The command syntax is more complicated than in most similar games in those years - sometimes have to enter much more detailed proposals than just bundles of verbs and nouns. The puzzle, therefore, often be very complex, although there is a system in-aid realized in the form of questions addressed to the wise and calm even in this situation, Spock; but the difficulty isn't the main local advantage. Much more important - even despite the lack of graphics is the amazing atmosphere that lurks between the lines of text: the Promethean Prophecy is a lot of dialogues between characters, and in them you can feel the legendary atmosphere of the original series (the original - here a double meaning), because often, to understand the motives of the heroes, it is highly desirable to be familiar with the original. Of course, all this is realized only by those who loves and knows star Trek and while on some level speak English.
The verdict to make too. Even entirely text-based, but it's Star trek. And if you are not an empty sound - it is at least a little to look at it costs. Just to know what started "the path" on the screen of the monitor. Well, for the most advanced - to receive a visual proof that the game in this universe was not that good, and even very popular...
