A very interesting DOS game was released by Impact Software Development, Ltd. in the year 1990. The game was called Clive Barker's Nightbreed: The Interactive Movie. You can now play it online.
The second part of the trilogy failed in the film Clive Barker's "Nightbreed". The name should not mislead you – no FMV-quest here and never will be, it's just a arcade game with a very minor elements of the quest, and, unfortunately, not the best quality (especially considering the excellent first part).
We play for Aaron Boone, the main character of the film, which the evil Dr. Decker (aka maniac Mask) wants to use to find the mystical Midian'and city Night People (Nightbreed). Subsequently, Boone, which was partly a monster, you must release my friend Lori from the clutches of the Masks and Night to help People to repel the invasion of the police people that found the city.
The game formally, trying to cover all the most important moments of the film (the arrival of the hero in Midian, escape from the monster, which in the end still bite, than turn Boone into a monster, the final battle with the Mask), but, firstly, there is no sensation of integrity and completeness of the narrative is not here, and secondly- implemented all the action scene there is just awful (why – see for yourself).
Graphics is not bad, but for the most part static and, of course, far worse than the first part. The game did not get any positive feedback in the press, and that after its failure, it was decided not to do the promised fans the third game of the movie (perhaps it was the right decision). Verdict – only for the biggest fans of any arcades and ardent followers of the Barker, all others go to play Nightbreed behind for the real fun and a fresh portion of adrenaline.
