There are three heroes to choose from, however, they differ primarily in appearance. They run forward and do not know how even a full-fledged jump, but have the ability to make a number of interesting motions, including to Dodge enemy attacks. Their goal is to rush forward, kill and destroy. Yeah, and ruin, too – because in the game you can destroy almost all stationary objects, but often it just needs to be done, otherwise no further go.
Time limit in the game, but there is a limit on the number of attempts to pass the exact level. And it is hardly better, as kill is here, let's face it, very often: the number of enemies is huge, quite often there are bosses who, as is common in the East Asian games, surprisingly strong and tough (it should immediately prepare for what to kill every one of you for a long time...). Really, some bosses do are only specific types of weapons.
The game has a lot of bonuses: these include the "kit", new weapons and all sorts of improvements for the old; a large part of the UPS "falls" from the bodies of slain enemies. There is also the possibility of access to a special "store" where you can buy different significant improvement in exchange for points earned through killing enemies (it is necessary to say that to earn points for something decent is difficult, because monsters give a little), but there is a "slingshot": this is the "shop" at a particular level are only available up to the moment, while you never killed. If he did something to restart the level a few times you be able to, but getting there has been no (only the next level). And when you consider that some pretty powerful stuff, especially required for the boss battles, the game itself can not meet, it turns out a kind of vicious circle, which allow only one way – you need to play very well.
In this game, by the way, you can play together on one computer (by selecting another character from the remaining two), but again "caveat": all the bonuses that you can find in the game and all points earned will be divided in two, in other words – no resources from the appearance of the second character in the game will not be added. The graphics in the game for the 1994 is simply magnificent – the game looks almost better than the majority of Western games at the time. Of course, it's not three dimensional, it looks like the hero runs "inside" the static of the screen, and on close examination, the pixelation becomes very strong, but still the variety of landscapes, numerous effects of explosions and the quality of drawing heroes and monsters is a genuine delight.
Verdict – a real rarity, which will be a great gift for lovers of unusual and really challenging games for true "hardcore".
