Freakin’ Funky Fuzzballs description
A little-known two-dimensional puzzle-arcade (there was a place the elements and platforming and Tetris, and Pac-Man and...), where you control a yellow ball-shaped character Fuzzball'om, "a mushroom-a raincoat" comes from the ancient Wizardry 2 - The Knight of Diamonds (Yes, the same "soft" the monster didn't even give experience), able to move in four directions, and diagonally. Specific plot (though it is known that all the action takes place in a huge hostile castle), there are only five worlds, formally quite busy, but in reality, alas, rather monotonous, despite the fact that they are trying to be diverse: our eyes will appear as "ancient" and "mystical" surroundings. Each world has three levels, and all of them need to go.
Each level is represented by a single screen. The task – to collect all the keys or cards which will let on. The levels are inhabited by enemies (represented by red balls), and our hero, unfortunately, completely unprotected, so the enemy remains only to run away (in case of contact with them is lost health, and some AI they have - they work hard and continuously pursue our poor protagonist). Although helplessness is a phenomenon, so to speak, only "the original".
ANCIENT TIMES... When a wand appears in the screen your enemy immediately rushes into it :( When you collect all the keys the game tells you this piece of info at the bottom of the screen. You are being zapped! Hey!
During the game will be able to find a number of useful objects (the list and the image will show in the beginning of the game), which means as a protection (shield or armor) and attack (dynamite, which, alas, is available only since the fifteenth level). In addition, often the problem is not only enemies, but the level itself – the game is in fact to a much greater extent still a puzzle, not a platformer, and pass the levels it is not so easy: for example, some floor tiles can suddenly disappear, and the intersection of such holes you need to use a magic wand. Bonuses, whether it be a magic ring, or food for health regeneration, occur spontaneously upon the hero stepping on a particular tile and always random.
Graphically it looks pretty simple, in complete 2D, but very nice, all items shown it is clear that for such a game – thing. Not to mention also the lovely hand-drawn inserts that appear after completing each world. Verdict – interesting and quite a tough puzzle, arcade elements which fit perfectly into the gameplay.
