I'm sure many of you have heard of Fisher Price, who became one of the leaders of the toy industry and engaged in the manufacture of a variety of children's entertainment - from the usual plastic figurines to complex educational robots. The company was founded in 1930, and almost centenary period of its existence, not without experiments with video games. Except that such facilities at the time were interesting in themselves, they brilliantly demonstrated different toys, presented in the assortment of the company. Simply put, the game fulfilled the function of advertising.
Little People Farm is one of the examples: bright children's game involving little men, offering young viewers to walk around the farm and meet its inhabitants. On the main screen before us reveals a beautiful landscape: towards a blue sky towering mountains, at the foot of which stretches a huge green field. On the lake is comfortably located the farm where hardworking owner with his wife, caring for animals: in the rich farm has chickens, cows, pigs, horses and sheep! Small players can see and explore every corner of the farm, and to observe its inhabitants.
How is the introduction? The player with the mouse selects the object of interest, and the one on the new screen appears in four types – on the background of different seasons and with its own set of details. For example, if we want to look at the barn, in the winter version of about it certainly will be a snowman in the spring around the flower blooms, and the autumn will please harvest the pumpkins (of course with a cut out face for Halloween). To communicate with animals is much more fun – each presented in an unusual role: the cow is dressed to walk to the store, the pig turns into a pirate, and a sheep is quite cute looks in costume of chef. Some objects have their own animations – if you have put the cursor on the object, and near it an inscription, then you've come to the right place to be.
In General, the gameplay of Little People Farm and this rant can't be called, because the game has no goal, no learning, no contest. The actions we are limited almost entirely. Likely, very young children can draw colorful graphics and cute music as well as familiar animals in strange images, but likely not for long. Unfortunately, the game advertising are rarely masterpieces, and Little People Farm is no exception, but thanks to appearance and a famous patron has found his value - extremely collectible.
