Quadrel description

A very interesting puzzle with a primitive, it would seem, the task is to paint different objects. In fact, it turns out to be extremely fascinating and that often requires a certain brain effort game.

At the beginning of the game you can choose the object you want to paint - for example, a pyramid, a square, an inverted letter "t" or something more unconventional. You can also choose the type of game (because you can just play one, you can computer for you with a man), will there be a time limit if you want to get hints on what to paint next segment ("Improsed mode"). After setting begins the game itself, where the selected object appears divided into segments, often the most bizarre.

Your goal is to paint over it completely, but so that ALL adjacent segments was DIFFERENT in color. If they merge immediately loses. There are several problems (even if you play without a time limit).

First, we have a few colors – red, green, blue and yellow. Second, the segments sometimes overlap in a most peculiar way, a segment is very small, some – on the contrary, very large, and even curved shapes, such that in contact a lot with any other, - so we have to think how to paint. Thirdly, and this is probably the most unpleasant, if you select a particular object, we give a fixed (but in any case finite) amount of paint. As the game process is applied with a brush to paint segments of "branches" of the palette in the lower left corner of the screen, under each circle with the color specified, how many "servings" of it there is (or was). And it so happens that, for example, a certain object a certain color, we were given a lot, some, on the contrary, extremely small. It is therefore extremely important immediately that is quickly (but wisely) to evaluate the shape and the number of "strokes" of paint of each color.

Although one point "help" us is still there – we can mix existing colors to obtain new colors (e.g., purple), sometimes it is necessary to do this because of their own mistakes, sometimes well designed. Now imagine that the game goes against the computer (for example), and even the time is limited, and complex figure... Indeed, that is the example of such games understand that "hardcore" is not necessarily crowds of monsters or the myriad of enemy tanks.

Graphically it looks nice and bright enough, the game supports three adapters (CGA, EGA, VGA). The gameplay graphically, of course, is relatively poor, but adequate for the genre and specifically this game and did not prevent to enjoy the process. Quadrel – a fine example of the old non-trivial puzzle, really complex, but well implemented and fun that can deliver a connoisseur of intelligent entertainment on the screen many pleasant evenings.

Enjoy playing Quadrel online, it can be played on your browser and is free.
