Rack ‘Em description
A little-known simulator, which includes five different variants (snooker, American classic, with eight or nine balls, and so-called "Bumper Pool", where only three balls on each side and a small special table), each of which strictly follows the rules of real games, that is arcade this game can not be called.
Gameplay is divided into several typical stages: the choice of ball for goal, setting the desired position of the ball, determine the force and speed of impact. There is a separate training mode, in which every bad shot can be replayed. There is also an interesting option that allows you to record the best shots and view them later.
Also, we should note the original game's interface – it consists of three parts: the main screen is a view on the table with a first person view, bottom left close-up of the chosen ball, and to the right a human figure with cue this ball in the form of a silhouette (this screen displays the strength and direction of impact). Finally, in each of the variants of Billiards can be played both in 2D and in 3D perspective overview main screen (although 3D is more like "large" isometrics).
The graphics in this game is very beautiful for its time, and really pleasing to the eye, especially successful the drawing tables. The atmospherics add a short hand-drawn inserts, showing the "life" of a billiard room where the game takes place (but they appear most often when choosing games or viewing account). Overall – a very nice old pool simulator, for some reason has received much less publicity than many other similar games, but it looks at least not worse than them.
