The Lost Admiral description

Almost forgotten at the moment naval wargame with an interesting feature – story background and attention to the personality of the protagonist of the player, as strange, and even given the sub-genre it may sound. Of course, in the Lost Admiral will be naval battles, but that's the historical background of their very conditional. But we know that the player is acting as a talented Admiral who because of some terrible mistake had been dismissed from the naval forces, but now, due to the outbreak of war and intercession, its powerful Navy friend, also an Admiral, he was given a second chance to prove that he is a great captain. But a third chance will not be, therefore, right to make mistakes no...

Before the game, there is a possibility, almost like in an RPG, choose some features for your character, but the real impact of this process on the game very little. Much more interesting is the fact that, for example, depending on the choice of the level of complexity of the behavior of the enemy AI will be vastly different and it really is an extensive list of available control of the courts and the many scenarios that can be played separately from the campaign and train them. Perhaps the most important moment of the game is the fact that once you are an Admiral of a huge fleet (even if your position on this post and shaky) and can use when planning any strategic solutions to the enormous number of ships and other equipment and a huge number of orders they can give.

The goal is a gradual seizure of the seas, maintain control over our ports and seizure or even destruction of the enemy. In the beginning is the deployment of forces at various ports around us-controlled territories, while the initial strategy is always defensive. A very important point is this: despite the fact that the number of ships as such we, apparently, do not limited to give the order to leave the port and drive for one stroke we can only two courts – that is, large-scale offensive operations (in one stroke) to fail. It is important not to be mistaken with the choice of specific ships involved in the move.

The game is detailed to a truly terrifying degree, with exactly the prescribed characteristics of ships and ship equipment (which to be successful will have to study) is not all. Mentioned scenarios there are hundreds (!), the aforementioned difficulty levels – ten, and they differ not only AI behavior, but also the amount of fuel in the ships, changing weather conditions and a great many other factors. Maps for the scenarios, though only nine, but the player can create a new self. One game lasts on average up to nine hours (!) (and maybe a lot more), the game may be named in the true sense of the word infinite. By the way, entirely in the title, our hero is not restored – therefore, as successful completion of the stages he will have new naval titles (the ultimate goal is to become an Admiral again and on paper, and not just the "rights").

With all this, the game is relatively friendly and accessible to use interface, that is, to learn how to play it if you want a and fast, but the gameplay itself is still very difficult and, most importantly, terribly long and exhausting. The graphics in the game, of course, conditional, as in most games of the subgenre, but color different from the coast seas, the conditional icons look quite nice. This game, no doubt, is more than a quality and dignified, but still in view of all the above to recommend it only to people who really, really passionate about computer naval simulation. For the rest there are plenty of other, less durable, and certainly more interesting games.

Enjoy playing The Lost Admiral online, it can be played on your browser and is free.
