African Adventure, a DOS game was released by the very talented group Tony Baechler, Audrey De Lisle in 1997. Little did they know that they will end up making history. Play this game again here.

African Adventure description

An unofficial port fully text quest with the Commodore 64, released initially as a free game. To say about it very little.

First things first: third-party descriptions is not necessary to believe, the game is not linked to a novel by Henry Rider haggard "king Solomon's Mines", and dedicated to the well-known history of the search for Dr. Livingston. The plot is somewhat contrived: a man at night reading a book - apparently, written by G. Stanley falls asleep, then he dreams that he participates in an expedition in the wilds of Africa.

The game only understands commands from no more than two words - it is almost always an action verb and a noun, but there are "single" command for going-over around or view the number of points. The plot (and therefore - and in-game texts) is not too epic or elaborate, but the game itself, despite the short duration, in terms of choosing the right decisions is difficult - the chance to die is literally in the beginning, after the hero falls asleep. In General, anything remarkable in the things to find and failed, except for exotic places. But as they say, "let it be".
