Dos
3.5 /5

A DOS game was developed by The Avalon Hill Game Company and then released by The Avalon Hill Game Company in 1984, the game was called Computer Diplomacy. Now you can relive the memories by playing it online here.

Computer Diplomacy description

Turn-based wargame based on the eponymous Board game that focuses not only on military but also on a diplomatic solution to the problem (which its name implies). But, unfortunately, the real diplomacy only occurs when multiple people on one computer.

The action takes place in Europe, and the game map is a map of Europe (since before the First world war). We can choose one of the seven great powers (because the game is global strategy) and try, unleashing war and alliances, to conquer the whole of Europe. But, as mentioned above, when playing against the computer the basis of the gameplay are still military action, not negotiation, that there really did not succeed because of the weak AI. He is weak, by the way, all wars are consistently and slowly, the army under computer control in some of the moves simply do nothing. This makes the game relatively easy (dignity or lack of it – the big question).

Graphically, for its time, the game (or rather, the map of Europe) is drawn very nicely (of course, palette – only CGA). Rest of the schedule is contingent badges, but more for similar games, do not. In General, Computer Diplomacy is still necessary to evaluate positively rather than negatively, because it can be used also as training before the development of more serious similar games.

Now, play Computer Diplomacy online for free on your browser and make your boring weekend fun and full of entertainment.
