The Korean developers of Senori Box - very cheerful people! If you just look at screenshots of the game Dokkaebi-ga Ganda, found also under the name Cobi & Comi, then see for yourself. Before us is a very colorful platformer, to catch the plot of which is quite difficult (and not necessary, apparently), but one thing is clear - you need to kill in order to survive. All the existing text (which is only the menu) is in English, so difficulties with understanding the game is minimal.
As the main character, the player is given a choice of two very cute characters, male and female (kobolds, dwarves, Granny pinewood - choose a word that you more comfortable to accept), named after Kobe and Komi Republic. Management of the heroes are identical, but different weapons: brave Kobe for the battles chose a club, and the charming (and not brittle) Komi wielding a hammer. In addition to normal attacks, there are so-called combo moves entered by key combinations.
The world Dokkaebi-ga Ganda divided into different areas (mountain, forest, village, etc.), each of which in turn consists of three stages (the third stage in each area is a boss battle). Levels almost filled to overflowing different kinds of creatures: snakes, boars and wolves spitting - it's flowers (and the boss itself is quite adequate - the tiger, bull, monstrously evil witch). And how do you like count Dracula, striped, forgive, and shorts with a glass of blood? Or a walking tree stump, throw it into your apples, and evil grandpa with a crutch? This is not the limit! The number of enemies, which each time falls on the hero from all sides (and even to push the platform can!) not allowing the player to relax for a second.
The hero has three lives, which are shown in the game, as usual, hearts, and loses one of them, the stage will have to start over (which is a big disappointment), but every life is 20 units of health, and the hero dies not from a single collision with the enemy. Restore health can cups of rice found in the level (a small bowl replenishes the stock partially, but most fully recovers). In addition, there are other bonuses (a blue flame which remains after the defeated creatures, sushi, coins, and so on), but no effect other than increasing the score of the game, they do not produce.
Interesting is the fact that initially it was assumed the opportunity to play with two characters (two, respectively, players), as eloquently in their beta screenshots told the developers a year before the game's release, but the final version still has refused this idea. Given the frenzied dynamics of gameplay this is not a plus. It is also worth noting that the levels assumed very large for a platform with a plan, and sometimes it becomes unclear where best to jump in order to stay safe and not to fall into the abyss, losing precious "heart".
Of course, the game is very nicely done graphically (why are only the brightness and atmosphere of the backdrops, not to mention all beings), filled with unique charm and sense of humor, because it was created primarily for children. However, due to the high complexity of Dokkaebi-ga Ganda recommended only to fans of Korean game development and games of the arcade genre labeled "hardcore".
