As befits a text adventure Lancelot displays the information for us in the form of fragments of text briefly describing the current position, the surrounding objects, terrain, condition of the hero and other vital details. The text is flavored EGA-picture, which often depicts the place where you are now, or a character with whom to dialogue. The narration is made in a curious style, repeating some peculiarities of the old English language with all it's "thy", "doth" and "Sire". However, most of the text is still written in modern and very accessible language, so don't be wary of possible misunderstandings and translation difficulties. As in most other games of this kind, a considerable part of the time we have to give the hero simple commands to move and interact with objects performing different assignments of the king and following the twists and turns of the plot. An interesting feature of Lancelot is that time in the game even for a moment stops and the surrounding characters at any time could, for example, to move from one room to another, to disappear from your sight or even to go somewhere on business.

Entering the service of king Arthur, you make the first step in a series of upcoming Lancelot of the long and intricate adventure. On your way you will encounter demons and mermaids, wizards and dragons, and the ultimate goal will, of course, the indwelling of the Holy Grail. For every successful action the player is awarded points, and at any time, you can check the status of your account. The points can both increase and decrease, if you retreated from the knight's code showed the infidelity of his beautiful lady or disobeyed the Royal order. In General, Lancelot is an interesting text adventure that blurs the line between truth and fiction is great and does its job: to put you in a half-magic world of Camelot. Even if you're not a fan of this genre, the game is recommended at least to a superficial acquaintance. And if you grew up on tales of the knights of the Round table, then pass would be a real crime.
