In 1997, a DOS game was released by Infinite Dreams Software (UK) Ltd. The game was called Mag-Racer and belongs to Racing / Driving genre. Play it online by clicking here.
Mag-Racer description
A little-known race with shooting on small toy cars, made in the style of fantastic underground: the action takes place in an abandoned toy store, and the machines are manually operated tiny humans aliens called the Pod-people who fled to Earth from their home planet destroyed.
The uniqueness of the gameplay manifests itself primarily in the entourage of the game: the tracks represent a cluttered old toys and debris from tables, shelves, narrow aisles on the floor and other pretty atmospheric place. Before the game, you must choose a man-racer toy car (in both cases we have a rich and interesting), and then choose a specific track (all fourteen tracks, but must first pass the first three, to allow for rest), if you can call it that, and also to buy weapons – bombs, incendiary shells, etc. Yes, despite its apparent childishness, this game is quite brutal.
When your car makes a jump it tolls 360 degrees in the air. The car-sprites aren't really detailed are they?
Graphically, the game looks great – because this is a DOS and 1997; just those for whom the words "heavy DOS" - not an empty phrase, understand what it is about. We expect full 3D, car rear view and the exceptional diversity and beauty of the scenery of the old store. Anyone who likes bright, rare, and atypical of the race, is recommended.
