Play online, the famous Sidewinder, a Action game, published by Synergistic Software, Inc. in the year 1988.

Sidewinder description

A very interesting "flat vertical" arcade (i.e. top view), in which we have to manage some of the aircraft, it would seem, is pretty standard, if not a whole number of interesting features.

The fact that we have to go through multiple screens sequentially to complete the level, no one probably no surprise. But how do you like the fact that Sidewinder is an endless game? And this is not a joke.

Let me explain a little more specifically. The game has six levels, each of which is made in a particular setting (cyberpunk, space base, dense forest, something like animal cell inside (!) and desert), each level consists of several screens you need to pass. Complete one level move on to the next. After the completion of the sixth level we find ourselves... back to the first, and so on to infinity.

The enemies you will encounter two types (but not types – types a lot more): fixed (usually different turrets firing turrets and stuff like that) and movable (that is, the situation is better moving enemies in each level unique, also, at each level, several types of enemies). Enemies in the game a LOT.

The concept of "bosses" in the game is also missing. Valid only the rule "the more – the more difficult," that is, each successive level more difficult than the previous, each successive screen the individual level too (the enemies of both types becomes larger). When we go through "the first cycle" (that is, complete for the first time, completing all six levels), the difficulty of the first level at which we find ourselves, once again, automatically increases somewhat. In addition, there is a direct opportunity to choose from three levels of difficulty – easy, medium, or heavy. Immediately warn that playing on hard level is very difficult. Have the opportunity to play together on one computer.

No story in the game is a simple arcade vertical shooter in which absolutely no need to think about the "tricks" of the passage, only to decide when to shoot and when to try to Dodge. Separately touch graphics is not worth it. Games ported from arcade machines, to the category graphic masterpieces never treated, but the main condition of successful passage of this game – the possibility of understanding what is where on the screen is what is currently happening, here is more than great. Besides, I like this graphics very much, and some landscapes, in my opinion, can even praise for the concept drawing.

Verdict – the game with no pretensions to anything "high," but almost a perfect "time killer" and just a great way to relax and "combat" relaxation. All fans of these games are strictly recommended.
