Archon Ultra is an action-strategy video game developed by Free Fall Associates and published by Strategic Simulations in 1994 for MS-DOS. It is a remake of the 1983 game Archon: The Light and the Dark. Play Archon Ultra online!
A remake of Archon: The Light and the Dark, Archon Ultra adds updated graphics and sound. New features include secondary weapons that give all units two unique abilities, and and the battle sequences are shown from an isometric point of view to simulate a third dimension in the battles.
The game features a completely rewritten game engine, new graphics and sound as well as digital music (a la MOD files), along with a new style of game board and an additional “special weapon” for each figure.
